The International Catalina 470 Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to:
- Promote harmonious relationships and good fellowship among Catalina 470 owners, exchanging information, and prompting cruising and social activities on local fleet, national and international levels
- Further the enjoyment of ownership and sailing of the Catalina 470
- Ensure that members receive a quarterly newsletter or magazine relative to the Association
- Promote the education for safe boating and to provide a central information source for the maintenance and care of Catalina 470s
- Help owners of Catalina 470s to compete equally in class and cruisers' racing
